Behind The F: Keep It Simple Stupid

So Monday we went back to the streaming on Facebook Live instead of YouTube. For whatever reason, it was a better viewer experience and more people were inclined to watch and comment. Embedding into the website is still a struggle, so I think I have to just embed our Facebook News Feed and see if that gives me what I'm looking for.

We did have significant quality issues with the feed. The video kept buffering and apparently got to a point where it just locked up on people. We're using OBS, which isn't inherently user friendly, but there is a pretty robust support group of users on the web. So, in the middle of my madness and preparation for "harry carry" I came upon the great tool for looking up information. Maybe you've heard of it? It's called "Google".

An lo and behold, Facebook itself provided the proper setting for stream and video output from OBS. So I went ahead and fixed all that so we should be all set for Monday. More to come.

This Monday we're going to try something new. If you've ever watched Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (or MST3K for short) you'll kind of get what we're going at. Obviously, we don't have the rights to show a movie over the internet, but what you will see is the audio of the movie playing in the background while we rip it apart. We're calling it "Drunkflix". So we'll ply ourselves with some adult beverages before and roll right into a movie that made a lot of money, but we think is shit. First up: the 1991 blockbuster Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, starring Kevin Costner.

We'll see how this goes, but the concept is supposed to be movies that a lot of people think are good, but need to be ripped apart. And it's us, so you know you'll laugh at least once.
